"Towers"

Towers, Adobe Illustrator, 2001
I was working on a vector portrait the week of September 11. I abruptly changed the subject matter of my work by integrating the twin towers from the photo in the newspapers. This work was meant to be interpreted in one way: The suffering endured in the attacks has been absorbed into our hearts. The tragedy of the event has been embedded into our spirits.
